Day 1: Sunday - Arrival and Warm Welcomes
The trip began with excitement as our group of German students
from Realschule Neutraubling and their four teachers arrived on
the south coast of England, in Broadstairs, Kent,  buzzing
with anticipation. Host families warmly welcomed us into their
homes, giving us a taste of English hospitality. The evening
was spent settling in, sharing stories about the journey, and
looking forward to the week ahead.
Day 2: Monday - Classes and a Disco Delight
The first morning started with language school classes. A
placement test helped us find our learning groups, ensuring
everyone could make the most of the experience. In the
afternoon, we embarked on a town trail. This activity was not
only a fun way to explore the area but also a challenge to find
landmarks and answer questions about the town’s history and
    culture.
The evening brought us our first big social event: a disco! The
atmosphere was electric as students from Spain and Germany hit
the dance floor together. Laughter and unforgettable memories
were made as new friendships blossomed. The night’s highlight?
Learning some classic Spanish dance moves from our new friends!
Day 3: Tuesday - Learning and Barndance Extravaganza
Tuesday morning’s classes were all about catching up and
building on the previous day’s lessons. By now, we felt more
confident using English to communicate with our international
    peers.
In the evening, it was time for a traditional barndance. Guided
by a professional caller and accompanied by a live band, we
jumped, twirled, and laughed our way through the dances. From
two-hand swings to the classic dosie-do, the experience was
both energetic and hilarious. It was a wonderful way to connect
with others and immerse ourselves in English traditions.

Day 4: Wednesday - Highlight of the Week: London
Wednesday was the highlight of the trip: a full-day excursion
to London! We started with a scenic boat trip from Greenwich to
Westminster, taking in the city’s iconic skyline from the
Thames. Once in the city center, we enjoyed a guided tour
featuring Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, The Royal Mall,
the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, and Tower
    Bridge.
The adventure continued with a walk along Oxford Street,
finishing at the vibrant Covent Garden. The best part? Free
time for our own shopping tour—no classes all day, hurrah! It
was a perfect mix of exploration, sightseeing, and a bit of
    retail therapy.

Day 5: Thursday - Canterbury and Karaoke Night
Thursday brought us back to our usual routine with classes in
the morning. In the afternoon, we visited Canterbury, home to
the famous cathedral and other historic sights. There was also
plenty of time to wander the charming streets and shop for
    souvenirs.
The evening ended on a high note with karaoke! Everyone had
their chance to shine like stars in our own version of the X
Factor. From pop hits to classic ballads, the performances were
full of energy and laughter. Who will you be tonight? A diva, a
    rockstar, or perhaps both?

Day 6: Friday - Coastal Walk and Farewell
On Friday morning, we attended our last language class,
reflecting on how much we had learned throughout the week. The
afternoon was dedicated to a peaceful coastal walk, enjoying
the stunning scenery and fresh sea air. It was a relaxing way
    to wrap up our adventure.

Day 7: Saturday - Warm Welcome Home
Saturday marked the end of our trip as we returned home to warm
welcomes from our families. Although the journey had come to an
end, the memories, friendships, and experiences we gained will
    stay with us forever.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the accompanying teachers, Mrs Werkmann, Mrs Bauer, Mrs Baier and Mr Tammeus. We were always well looked after by them, they knew the answers to all our questions and never lost their patience. We would also like to expressly thank our headmaster, Mr Gruber. He always supported our trip from the very beginning and made it possible. A big thank you also goes to the teachers at KSE, who used motivating teaching methods and innovative materials to provide extremely attractive English lessons, during which we learnt an incredible amount. Speaking English, in particular, has suddenly gone like clockwork, as we are much more confident in speaking. Finally, we would also like to thank our parents for sponsoring this trip and giving us these unforgettable days. Last but not least: Hey guys from class 8! We can highly recommend the language study trip to Broadstairs to you future eighth-graders, as we are all really enthusiastic about it. Take this opportunity next year and have the time of your life!
